Rohan had everything a successful software engineer could ask for—a great job, a stable income, and a growing career. But something wasn’t right. No matter how well things were going, he carried a feeling of heaviness.
There was no logical reason for it, but deep inside, he felt stuck.
His relationships were strained.
His mind was always restless.
He felt like no matter how much he tried, life kept pulling him back into the same struggles.
One evening, after a particularly frustrating day, he confided in an old friend.
"You’re carrying something you can’t see, Rohan," his friend said. "Karma isn’t just about what happens to you. It’s about the energy you hold onto. Maybe it’s time to let go."
Rohan was skeptical at first. How do you let go of something you don’t even understand?
His friend handed him a simple piece of advice: “Meditate, and watch what happens.”
Rohan started small. Every morning, before opening his laptop, he took 10 minutes to just sit in silence. At first, it felt strange. His mind raced. His body resisted.
But then, something changed.
With time, meditation became less about “clearing his mind” and more about observing what surfaced. And slowly, he realized:
Resentments he had been holding onto for years.
Fears that weren’t his but were passed down from his family.
A deep belief that success had to be hard, which made him unconsciously resist ease.
The heaviness wasn’t external. It was inside him.
Through meditation, he learned three techniques that transformed his energy:
🧘 Breath Awareness: Focusing on each inhale and exhale, imagining negative energy leaving his body with every breath out.
🧘 Visualization Release: He pictured himself cutting invisible cords with people, thoughts, and fears that no longer served him.
🧘 Gratitude Reflection: Instead of focusing on what was wrong, he ended each session by thinking of three things he was grateful for.
Within weeks, the heaviness started to lift.
His sleep improved.
Work didn’t feel like a constant uphill battle.
The same triggers that used to anger him no longer had control over him.
It wasn’t that life changed overnight. But his relationship with it did.
Your Turn
Negative karma isn’t punishment—it’s unfinished energy. And meditation isn’t about forcing it away, but allowing it to leave.
